Data Update:

Effective June 24, 2008, the first full year of 2007 IP and ASU data was uploaded to Market Expert. 

Please run and review the data availability reports carefully for these data, which represent the SPARCS update made June 3, 2008, as there are many hospital's that are still behind in 2007 submissions.   We highly recommend that you review the hospital's in your market area's to determine the specific levels of completeness for this data set. The applications that generate these are found in the Data Availability directory located in your Market Expert's Public User Defined Application Folder.

2008 still appears to be lacking a significant amount of discharge and ASU visit data. Current record counts for first quarter 2008 data show just over 80% of the volume for the same 2007 period . As soon as there is a usable amount of 2008 data , we will make these data available.

As previously communicated, the promotion of a full year of 2007 clinical data will trigger the loading of new demographic data on July 27, 2008 . The new "Current Year" estimates will reflect 2007 populations and "5 Year" projections will be for 2012. This will replace the existing 2006/2011 population estimates.
