Intro to Admin Data & Case Mix Introduction to MedicareMay 11 & 12, 2009 This Webconference will examine the complexities of Medicare reimbursement, explore the relationship between clinical and financial information, discuss new legislation affecting Medicare reimbursement, and provide helpful information to communicate the importance of Medicare to communities and the media. Various Medicare hospital payment systems will be discussed, including cost-based, prospective, and fee schedule systems. Participants will receive sample reports highlighting utilization of inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing services, with comparisons to statewide utilization. Introduction to Medicare is offered as a Webconference over two days. The program material is different each day and participation in both days is encouraged for maximum value. |
