Data Fundamentals: Introduction to Quality June 23, 2008 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm Webconference and June 24, 2008 1:00 pm - 2:30 am Webconference Download Brochure and Registration Introduction to Quality is designed to help hospital quality improvement team members understand and use quality data effectively to monitor and improve the quality of care. Faculty will: - highlight state and national data sources and discuss the implications of data accuracy in various sources of benchmarking and comparative databases;
- identify descriptive statistical techniques used in the identification, display, and analysis of data for performance improvement and outcome measure analysis; and
- discuss the design of a quality measurement evaluation process, identification of best practices, and collaboration for establishing systems for accountability and performance.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will: - identify the implications of quality data in the current regulatory, accountability, and reimbursement environment;
- have command of the basic technical skills and data tools required to effectively design and evaluate quality improvement findings; and
- communicate quality improvement findings to team members, administrative staff, and boards.
Different topics will be covered each day—participation in both days is encouraged for maximum value.
